Biggar Stitches and its affiliates provide their services to you subject to the following conditions. If you visit our shop at Biggar Stitches you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully, Biggar Stitches controls and operates this site from its offices within the UK. The laws of England and Wales govern claims relating to including the use of, this site and materials contained.
If you choose to access from another country you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
All content includes on the site such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads and software are all owned by Biggar Stitches and are protected by international copyright laws.
Currency & Prices
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered and therefore the price you see is the price you pay.
When you place an order via www.biggarstitches.com the total amount payable will be shown when you check out.
If you place an order over the telephone, then you will verbally be advised of the total amount to pay. A receipt to confirm your purchase, including the total amount debited from your debit/credit card, will be included with your goods.
Dispatching Your Order
For all orders received Monday to Thursday, we’ll aim to have these processed and sent off to you within 24hours. For orders received on a Friday, we’ll do our absolute best to get them in the post that evening or Saturday morning, otherwise they’ll be dispatched on the following Monday.
Please allow an extra couple of days around Public and Bank Holiday weekends when my local Post Office might be closed.
On the rare occasion that we run out of stock, we will contact you to let you know and will keep you informed of a likely delivery date. If your order is made up of multiple items and one of them is not in stock we will send you what we do have and then separately send the outstanding item as soon as it’s possible – but you’ll only have to pay for one lot of postage.
License and Site Access
Biggar Stitches grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site. This license does not include any resale of commercial use of this site or its contents, any collection and use of any products, any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions or prices, any derivative use of this site or its contents, any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant, or any use of data mining, robots or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
This site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold or otherwise exploited for any commercial use without written consent of Biggar Stitches.
We do our absolute best to make sure that descriptions, product specifications and prices are accurate, however we’re all human and can sometimes make a mistake. From time to time there may be information on Biggar Stitches that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing and availability.
If this is the case then Biggar Stitches cannot accept your order. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you. We’ll contact you with a full explanation and a corrected offer so you can then confirm if you wish to proceed with your purchase. The information displayed on www.biggarstitches.com is considered as an invitation to treat not as a confirmed offer for sale. The contract is confirmed upon supply of goods.
We accept payment by all major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club International, and AMEX) using WorldPay payment solutions.
If you make a purchase via www.biggarstitches.com, the shopping cart will show you the final amount to pay and then you’ll be redirected to a secure page where you’ll be asked for your payment card details.
If you’d prefer to place an order over the telephone, I can take your card details to process the payment and then the details will be destroyed.
Goods will only be dispatched once funds have been received in full by Biggar Stitches.
Postage to UK Addresses
We use the Royal Mail 2nd Class service for the majority of items we stock to all UK delivery addresses, so please allow a few days (Royal Mail says 2-3 days) to receive your parcel. There are just a few items which, due to their size, we might need to use Parcel Force.
However, if you would like a faster delivery service, for example next day guaranteed delivery, then please contact us before 12noon so we can process the order and get the parcel to the post office in time. We will add the additional postage costs (as charged by Royal Mail) to your order.
If the parcel/packet is too big to be posted through your letterbox and there is no-one at home to take delivery, Royal Mail should leave you a card so that you can collect it from your local sorting office. If it is not collected and the item is returned to Biggar Stitches by Royal Mail, you will incur an additional postage charge if we have to resend.
Postage to Overseas Addresses (incl the Channel Islands)
We will use Royal Mail or Parcel Force Worldwide International Tracked and Signed service.
We’re happy to send any item to any country to which the Royal Mail or Parcel Force Worldwide will deliver, and as long as the item is not classed as either prohibited or restricted goods for that particular country.
The cost of postage will entirely depend on the size and weight of the item, so it’s best for you to contact us beforehand so we can advise you of a more accurate postage charge.
This policy covers all users who register to use the website. It is not necessary to purchase anything in order to gain access to the searching facilities of the site.
Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
It’s OK to have changed your mind – we all do – so providing the item is returned to us within 14 calendar days from the date you received it, you can have a refund or exchange it for another item. The only exception to this is with cuts of fabric which cannot be returned or exchanged unless the fabric is faulty or damaged when you receive it.
For both refunds and exchanges the item must be returned to us in its original new and unused condition, and also in its original manufactured packaging. Postage and packaging costs for the initial purchase and its return are non-refundable (unless the item is faulty). We are not responsible if the item does not reach us, so we strongly recommend that you use a signed-for service.
However, on the rare occasion that an item is faulty then we’ll cover the cost of the original postage and packaging, and will offer you a full refund or an exchange.
If you’re exchanging the returned item(s) for another, and the new item(s) is of a lesser value, then we’ll refund you the difference (minus the cost of the original postage). If the new item is of a greater value, then you’ll just need to pay the difference in price but we’ll contact you first before taking any additional payment from your debit/credit card.
Once we’ve received the item, we’ll process a refund back to the same debit/credit card or other method of payment used to make the original purchase. Unless the item is faulty, we will only refund you the price of the item and not the postage costs.

We have taken the appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is not unlawfully processed. Biggar Stitches uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including ‘firewalls’ and secure socket layers.
During the payment process, we ask for personal information that both identifies you and enables us to communicate with you.
We will use the information you provide only for the following purposes.
